Colvend Primary is a small, rural school which serves the villages of Colvend, Rockcliffe, Kippford, Sandyhills and Caulkerbush. At present, there are 30 pupils in our school - 16 in the P1-4 class and 14 in the senior class, P5-7.

The school comprises of two buildings. The main building was extended in 1985 and consists of a school office, staffroom, dining hall/gym hall, kitchen and toilets. A portacabin, which was completed in 1994, accommodates two spacious classrooms, and toilets.  There is a tarmac playground around the school with garden areas and a Trim Trail.  We also have a playing field that allows us to enjoy outdoor games such as rounders, football and rugby.  We have recently created an orchard where we have an outdoor classroom.
